Frequently Asked Questions

AUSSIE METAL ROOF Vs TRADITIONAL TILED ROOF

In Australia, it is now more popular than ever to have a metal roof over the more traditional tiles due to the quality, durability, and affordability of metal roofs. Metal roofs offer a modern look with carious styles and colours, allowing homeowners to achieve a sleek, contemporary appearance. They can also mimic the look of traditional materials whilst providing superior durability and flexibility to suit your preferred style.

Metal roofs are highly durable and can withstand extreme weather conditions, such as hail and high winds, without significant damage and their resistance to rust and corrosion ensures a long lifespan compared to many other materials.

Metal roofs require minimal maintenance. Generally, periodic inspections and cleaning to remove debris are sufficient to keep them in good condition. Their non-porous surface resists mould and mildew, making upkeep easy. They are excellent for energy efficient, reflecting sunlight, reducing heat absorption and helping to keep homes cooler in hot climates. This reflective quality can lead to lower cooling costs during summer.

Metal roofs are lightweight compared to tile, which can be beneficial for structural integrity and ease of installation. Their light weight allows for less structural support, making them ideal for various building types including schools, government buildings, commercial and industrial buildings and residential homes.
